Following discussions here, I'm pleased to release a (rather tiny) API to the Backstage community. It is intended as an easy way to add live radio or TV to your website or a Google gadget or something, using media owners' official web players.
http://www.mediauk.com/api/ details the API in full; it's suspiciously close to the BBC API, and supports two methods: broadcast.channel.list and broadcast.channel.getLocations; the format is "simple" only. ( broadcast.channel.getInfo (with logos and service areas) can be added if there's any wish for it.) The data is released under Creative Commons BY/SA/NC; given that this is my first API (and that I knocked it up in under an hour), I'd be grateful for feedback (and how to publicise it).
