I think the fact that the Trust put question 5 in their request for comments, phrased as it was - a direct invitation to supply them with cluebats with which to beat the people responsible for a Windows-only proposal over the head with - indicates that they're far from clueless on this matter themselves.
(forgot to note) - remembering that the Trust isn't allowed that sort of direct hands-on influence any more than the PM's office is, although their raised eyebrows are taken pretty seriously inside the BBC as I understand it.
