Officially A Good Thing. I was first with Vodafone years ago when I had my first (pay as you go, aww!) phone - their coverage was great but expensive. Hasn't changed much from what I can tell.
O2's network just couldn't handle the amount of usage, especially data-wise - Vodafone's far better geared towards an influx of regular data-and-voice users, and they have a better market presence imo.
