I had my bag stolen at a large London web development event back in June, and I've just realised I had my passport in that bag. (Yes, I know.) Its not possible to get a passport reissued within 7 days any more, so I'm not going. I'm very, very disappointed about this, as you can imagine, so all I can do is offer someone the free ticket and free hotel that I was awarded.
