Just wanted to introduce myself and mention a project that may be on interest
to some of you.
My colleagues and I have recently started a new project using the BBC's RSS
feeds.
The site framework is Pligg, which is an OSS PHP/MySQL news commentary package,
similar to Digg. The similarity stops there however as the framework has been
modified to use only BBC RSS feeds and doesn't allow for user submissions of
links. The idea is for it to be a modified "Have Your Say", allowing users to
comment on all BBC news items (emphasis on 'all').
It's early days yet and comments/feedback are most welcome. Also please do feel
free to use it for a good rant :)
