So is this just going to be another region-coding like affair where 'people' release cracked firmware or just press a few magic button sequences on their remote to remove this protection? And what about those vendors who sell DVRs that have community contributed plugins (e.g. like Topfield did/does); that's just going to make a mockery of this mockworthy content protection.
