Sorry about that - I'm pretty behind on my BackupPC email.
I've been devoting my limited BackupPC time over the last
few weeks to getting the next release out.

Thanks for the detailed bug reports.

The tar exclude fix looks fine to me - I'm not sure why I changed
this from 2.1.2.  I'll fix this in 3.1.0 or 3.1.0beta1, which ever
is next.  I'm not sure whether I should change BackupFilesOnly
back too, since those files need to be absolute paths (relative
to the share).

The documentation fix applies just to the Debian package.
The virgin BackupPC release does in fact put the per-pc
config files (assuming FHS) in /etc/BackupPC/pc/HOST.pl.

I'll reply to your config proposal later.
