As Frans suggested, the only explanation I can think of is that
$Conf{WakeupSchedule} is an empty list, eg:
$Conf{WakeupSchedule} = [];

There is nearly enough information to figure this out, but your
descriptions are not quite complete or precise enough.
In this case (ie: you have $Conf{WakeupSchedule} = [0..23]), does
it still fail with delta = -1?
