Hello,

I'm trying to help the BackupPC package maintainer for Fedora get the
new version released and we're having an issue[1].

To quickly summarize:
- BackupPC bundles two perl libraries: Net:FTP::AutoReconnect and RetrHandle.
- Fedora, like some other linux distros, discourages bundled libraries.
- RetrHandle seems to be broken[2] for all recent Perl versions . (Or
at least doesn't pass it's tests)

Therefore no BackupPC 3.2.x for Fedora.

Two questions:
1. Why was Net::FTP::RetrHandle used when it appears to be so broken?
2. Is there a problem with just removing the modules and shipping a
package without FTP support? Will that break anything? (other than the
obvious)

Thanks,
Richard
