But things changes. You will need more and more corrections in the future and 
some of them no Debian related. I maintain sysutils/backuppc and 
sysutils/backuppc-devel FreeBSD ports. At some point I realized I need BackupPC 
*source code* repository just to keep patches instead of simple posting them to 
the backuppc-devel mail list. Since there is no community repository I have 
created my own one

I think we definitely need community on github to keep source code changes in 
one place.
