Hi, We use rsync over SSH for some backups and *sometime* we noticed:
1) the machine doesn't respond anymore to ping request during the backup, and then we have to restart the network setup and the firewall (Shorewall) to restore the network traffic on the backed up machine.
2) Once the backup is finished correctly, BackupPC doesn't rise the ping attempts and stay to 1 or 5 succeeded ping whereas the machine is well pingable.
Does anybody already noticed such behavior ? Thanks for your help.
