Hi, all. I'm new to this list, but have been over the archives, and
have mostly solved the problems I've been seeing. I'm growing my pool
of backed-up boxes slowly, as they are all different in one way or another.
I saw an email with the subject above, sent by "edjee007" on/about 9/1.
I had the same symptom. Root cause: On one of my Linux boxen, I was
running a slightly out-of-date rsync. It did not understand the
"--checksum-seed" command-line argument.
Hope this helps someone. I didn't see it on the FAQ, but that looks a
little light to me anyway. If it were a wiki, I'd add it myself, but
before anyone asks...no, I don't have bandwidth to take over anyone's
FAQ :-)
