I had the same problem about a week ago with a single windows box but in my case the account had been locked. The problem was that the user didn't lock it but there were some "automatic" updates that took place and I think they were security related. This was XP. I wasn't able to get to the share via other winpc's, either.
I would verify correct host resolution from the samba side. I've seen WINS servers give out bogus IP's, etc. - Wade -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Les Mikesell Sent: Thursday, September 15, 2005 10:25 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [BackupPC-users] NT_STATUS_ACCOUNT_LOCKED_OUT After working for most of a year, one of my windows backup clients is refusing connections to backuppc (and smbclient) with an NT_STATUS_ACCOUNT_LOCKED_OUT error, but in fact the account isn't locked and I can map the shares from a windows box using the same login and password. The server is running fedora FC2 with the samba-3.0.10-1.fc3 if that makes any difference. I'm not sure about recent updates on the windows side.
