Hi folks,
I was having problems getting rsyncd to run as a service. I discovered
that the problem was the file permissions on rsyncd.conf, the clue was
from Event Viewer -> Application Log then look at the various events
that got generated for rsyncd, for example one of the errors said,
"rsync: unable to open configuration file..."
Since I have Cygwin installed, I just went to that directory within
Cygwin and "chmod ugo+r rsyncd.conf" and that fixed the problems.
Permissions on other, related files may need to be modified as well, use
the Application Log as a guide.
