I am also backing up winxx machines using smb.
Unfortunately I have had no brakethrough with this problem yet.

I have also experienced this problem.
I'm backing up
primarly windows hosts using rsyncd, and if I select all and do restore - it
doesn't restore all the files.
Any ideas?
