Having very slow performance with Solaris 10 Sparc
BackupPC server was implemented on two servers:
Sun Solaris 10
Suse 9 on small Dell server
Client is a Solaris with ~80 Gigs of data (millions of files)
All machines are on same network (and physically same place) and setup at
100 MB/s
Both servers have same config using Rsync.
Suse is much faster then the Solaris.
Solaris transfert rate 0.09 MB/s
cpu =10-20%
mem = 40%
Suse transfert rate is 1.33 MB/s
cpu 95%
I'm, using BackupPC version 2.1.2 for both.
Does anyone have any ideas why Solaris is so slow ?
Can we run BackupPC in Debug mode ?
N.B. Solaris seems to wait between two files! (using "truss" command)
