Hi! I have some problems understanding how off-line archives are supposed to work with BackupPc. Situation is this: I would like to store archives that are rather old (time span up to at least 6 months) on DVD:s. I have set up an archivehost that can archive hosts of my choice, and that seems to work fine. The number of kept backups on the disk is set to 1, done weekly, plus incremental backups each day/night.
So: each week I archive the backup on DVD:s. But how to restore these backups? The restore function seems only to know about the single backup kept on the disk. Or: should I set it up to keep more backups, something like [1, 1, 1, 1, 4] But then BackupPc would expect to find these on the disk, wouldn't it? Or can I inform it that they are to be found on DVD:s? Anyone able to provide some clarity on this, or point to some resource where I can read about it (seems not to be able to find any on my own, and the documentation is not very verbose on this off-line function).
