Hi, how are you doing?

I am having a problem with BackupPC in one host because of this
"signal=ALRM " thing over my backup server. The machine is running
fine and can do every other backup from other hosts, but a particular
(and, according to murph's law, its the most important) can't operate
backups and generate this error.

This host contain more than 115 GB of data from several customers and
fails always with the same error. I already tried to rise the
$Conf{ClientTimeout} and put a couple of 0 on it, but this don't
worked and the backup lasted 4-5 days. The guys from networks wasn't
able to diagnostic any malfunction on the fileserver, such as a bad
network card, and because the others hosts are being backed up well
enough i don't believe on a fail on the backup server.

The solution that i imagined to do was make diferents backups from the
same host but with different names, puting equals records on
/etc/hosts for each client and attempt to give to each of these
"hosts" one share from the server. Its almost 15 of shares.

My question to you guys, since you have much more experience with
BackupPC than i have, will this work? There is another way to do it?

[]s!

ps: Yes, i am not native of an english talking country. I am from
Brasil and ask you to forgive any errors.
