I think I have this one figured out. It's not primarily a BackupPC
issue. It's really a "My computer was running too hot and seized up" issue.
However, it raises an issue with BackupPC. If a backup died
inappropriately, there is no sign that the server ended the backup, or
at least none I could see. The incomplete backup doesn't present an
error message. The files are just not put in the pool as being in that
backup.
After some configured amount of time you should get an email
about 'no recent backups' on that computer regardless of the
reason. Are you sure the mail sending is configured properly?
I rather doubt that mail sending is properly set up. I didn't look at it
at all.
