Hi all, I've been using backuppc for a while now but after an upgrade, I can't start backups from the command line anymore (but I can still start backups from the WebGUI).
When I type: sudo -u backuppc /usr/share/backuppc/bin/BackupPC_serverMesg backup 192.168.1.112 stockage backuppc 1 I get: 'Got reply: ok: requested backup of afi_bdc' but the backup does not start at all. The main LOG file reads: 'User backuppc requested backup of stockage (stockage)' but nothing really happens :-( The host-specific config.pl just contains the following: $Conf{FullPeriod} = -1; $Conf{XferMethod} = "rsyncd"; $Conf{RsyncdUserName} = "rsuser"; $Conf{RsyncdPasswd} = "****"; $Conf{RsyncShareName} = ["backup"]; So far, I've noticed nothing special in the various logfiles... Any idea? I must have missed something obvious, but of course I don't see what... Thanks in advance, -- Vincent PS : I know I could simply let backuppc scheduler do its job, but that would not tell me why the BackupPC_serverMesg trick does not work anymore. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
