Assuming that i haven't, and don't plan to, install rsync 2.6.3 or higher
on all of my machines, but *some* of them have it, is it safe to enable
checksum-seed as a default?

i.e., will backuppc do some sort of sanity check to see if the other
end supports this, and skip it if it doesn't?

failing that, is it OK to set checksum-seed in the per-host configuration
files for the ones that have the newer rsync?
