When you run it yourself, you don't want to run BackupPC_archiveHost.

Instead, run BackupPC_tarCreate with the options you want (see
http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/faq/BackupPC.html#commandline_restore_options)
and the output redirected to your tape drive.
