Hi, i start to rebuild our backuppc system and try to store /var/lib/backuppc on a mounted smb NAS System.
All works fine, i have mounted the nas with uid and gid from the backuppc user. I can write with this user in all directory but backuppc dosnt start? We using a linux debian and start backuppc over the normal init script. If i start backuppc i got : Starting backuppc: ok. But in the logfile i see the message: 2006-08-04 10:09:21 Reading hosts file 2006-08-04 10:09:21 Added host x to backup list 2006-08-04 10:09:21 Added host y to backup list 2006-08-04 10:09:21 Added host z to backup list 2006-08-04 10:09:21 unix bind() failed: Operation not permitted Any idea in this case ;) many thanks in advance Timo ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
