Rename the hosts in the hosts file, then rename the top level pc directories. Make sure permissions are still set properly.
Try doing this for one of your hosts, then reload or restart the backuppc configuration and you should see the change. its worked for me. > And, is upgrading to the 3.0 beta going to have any issues *known* with > the old backup directory tree? > > nope, i upgraded to 3.0 beta1 without issues regarding the backup data tree. My only issue was that i needed to find a version of "par2cmdline" to suit my system in order to have the new ability to edit the config file and hosts via the cgi interface. If you don't have an rpm for par2cmdline you can get the source of parchive from http://parchive.sourceforge.net My only other issue was in upgrading to 3.0beta1 on an older Redhat 3 box. I needed to cpan install "Encode" to get the upgrade going, But because redhat 3 is only perl 5.8.0 i had to "force install" Encode as it was complaining that it needed 5.8.1 of perl. In the end that box is working fine. Regards, Les ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
