I have setup a fresh install of the new beta on an RHEL4 server and am
noticing that my test backups are ignoring the client config file I have
created. I believe I am using the FHS. I have the file placed
in /etc/BackupPC/pc/host.domain.net.pl. One note is that I had to
actually create the "pc" directory myself after the install. I did chown
it to the backuppc user and made sure it had the same
permissions /etc/BackupPC directory. I also verified the permissions on
the host.domain.net.pl file also. Is there a debug mode I can click on
that will let me see if the file is even being read by backuppc? I
haven't yet tried to move it to the old location in previous versions,
but I suppose I can. The file just contains a one liner to tell backuppc
what to backup per host, however it is backing up everything in that
rsync share:
$Conf{BackupFilesOnly} =
['/etc','/bin','/usr/ProprietaryApp','/lib/security','/root'];Let me know your thought or if I am just a moron and missed something.
