Hi all, After upgrading one of my clients from Ubuntu Dapper to Edgy, rsync backups no longer work. The error is as follows:
Running: /usr/bin/ssh -q -x -l root clientname /usr/bin/nice -n 19 /usr/bin/rsync --server --sender --numeric-ids --perms --owner --group --devices --links --times --block-size=2048 --recursive --exclude=/proc --exclude=/media --exclude=/sys . / Xfer PIDs are now 16049 Got remote protocol 29 fileListReceive() failed Done: 0 files, 0 bytes Got fatal error during xfer (fileListReceive failed) Backup aborted (fileListReceive failed) I saw a message exchange in the archive that suggested changing --devices to -D.
