The other huge benefit, arguably more important than the friendly editing, 
is that 3.0.0beta supports multi-level incrementals. Depending on how 
you design your rotation, this can save you a TON of disk space.

I'm been testing v. 3.0.0beta, lightly patched to backup OpenAFS, for the 
past month without problems.

Overall I'm very pleased with it and eagerly await the final 3.0.0.
