I've done some Googling, and haven't (yet) found anything that directly addressed whether or not I could get a BackupPC install to authenticate users against an AD backend. I -assume- it's possible. Therefore, two questions:
1) Do I assume right? 2) Are there any "gotchyas" that don't apply to a stock OpenLDAP backend? Okay, okay, and a third question: 3) Any links/pages that I missed that discuss this?
