I was using rsync and was consistently getting BackupPC_dump to segfault, leaving an orphaned child process doing the rsync that would never terminate. So I switched to rsyncd. Same business, except now I have an rsyncd log on the client machine. Segfaults.
So I upgraded my File::RsyncP on all my machines (I only needed to do this on the backup server, right?) and restarted all the xinetd processes, etc. Now I'm getting seg faults earlier. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just my luck? Has anyone else upgraded to File::RsyncP 0.66 yet to test it?
