All,

I really need some urgent help to get backuppc back up and working under
Mandriva 2007.

Last week my root disc died (this had /var /usr /var/www) and so I
bought a new hard disc and installed Mandtiva 2007. I noticed that
backuppc was available on the Mandriva package source and so went ahead
and installed it from there. Previously I had gone ahead and installed
manually.

All my previous backups are located on /backups. Last backup is now
almost 3 months old.

The first thing I noticed with Mandriva is that it automatically sets
the backup path to be /var/lib/backuppc. I found that the TopDir is
set in /usr/share/backuppc/lib/backuppc/Lib.pm, so I changed that to
/backups.

The other thing that is different is that the main config file is in
/etc/backuppc. So, I updated the hosts file and checked the main
config.pl file under /etc/backuppc. However, when I start the backuppc
daemon and goto the web interface it states that there are no hosts and
ZERO previous backups :(

I need to restore some stuff from my previous backups and I'm really
hoping that someone can really help me out to figure out what is wrong
here. I'm a little lost because the setup from the Mandriva install is
different that previously. Before, all my config directories were under
/backups.

If anyone can help I'd appreciate it. Really need to restore some stuff
in the next 24 hours.

TIA.
