Here is the log from the relevant time, starting with the shutdown.

2007-01-22 14:53:52 Got signal TERM... cleaning up
2007-01-22 14:55:08 Reading hosts file
2007-01-22 14:55:08 BackupPC started, pid 1676
2007-01-22 14:55:08 Running BackupPC_trashClean (pid=1685)
2007-01-22 14:55:08 Next wakeup is 2007-01-22 15:00:00
2007-01-22 15:00:00 Next wakeup is 2007-01-22 16:00:00
2007-01-22 15:00:04 Started incr backup on <server1> (pid=1818, share=DATA)
2007-01-22 17:14:42 Next wakeup is 2007-01-22 18:00:00
2007-01-22 17:14:45 Started incr backup on <server2> (pid=1860, share=ROOT)
2007-01-22 17:14:46 Started incr backup on <server3> (pid=1861, share=D)

The change in time to 17:14 was due to me adjusting the clock. That's
why the start isn't on a clean hour. However, you can see that the jobs
were started by the wakeup process, not by me.
