I went ahead and updated the host's rsync back to the generic 2.6.9 RPM, and am rerunning with '--devices' and '--specials'. It got past the above error. I'll let you know how that one ends as soon as it does. But wasn't this supposed to be fixed with File::RsyncP 0.68? If so, I'm not sure it's completely fixed... Timothy J.
