The remote shell says "stdin: is not a tty". An rsync version is expected instead, hence the error. I suspect you have an stty in bbBackup's .login (or .bashrc etc). There was some recent discussion on the mail list about how to stop .bashrc or .cshrc processing for non-login shells.
