The recovery program by default relies on new meta data that
is stored (below each pc/HOST/nnn directory) when a backup is
made under 3.x.
If you are running 3.x and you want to recover backup info for
a backup taken with 2.x, you need to add the -l option:
su backuppc
BackupPC_fixupBackupSummary -l HOST
That tries to recover the information from the LOG files, although
there are cases where the right information is not available.
