Hi guys and I'll start with a big "thank you" for BackupPC - it's really
nice to see such an easy to admin backup program :-)
One thing I'd love is a way to purge old directories _now_. I have
some cron scripts to remove some files before others (some files I want
for a long time, but others I only care about for a week or so). The
space is obviously only returned when the nightly job runs and this
works fine.
However some times I wish to remove other stuff - e.g. perhaps a large
directory has accidentallly been backed up and I wish to reclaim the
space. I can remove it from the pc/ directory, but I don't really want
to wait until the nightly job runs before reclaiming the space. In
fact, I suppose it would be even nicer to figure out the pool file and
remove it from there (and pc/) without running the nightly job (which I
presume has to crawl the FS tree).
Any thoughts or comments?
Thanks,
Adrian
