It kinda defeats the purpose, imho. :D

If you really want to do it though, I'd say set part of the backup job 
up to have tar write to tape once in a while, since it's the Tape 
ARchiver program. ;)

The periodic backups look like they're very configurable, so if you want 
the full dump to go to tape, I'd say set up a manual backup to do a full 
dump to tape, looking at man tar to find what switches to use.

If someone else wishes to correct me, let me know.  You'll lose the 
pooling benefits this way though.  I think?
