Hehe. I'm very well aware of that. I was just replying to Ali Bendriss that this did not work. What I'm trying to do is this: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ /usr/share/backuppc/bin/BackupPC_tarCreate -h pontiac -n -1 -s \* . | /bin/gzip >> /dev/nst0 which is what backuppc tries to do when archiving to tape.
