I have similar questions, except the clients will be Mac OS X 10.4.x.
The BackupPC server will be Ubuntu Linux (It's easier that way, in my
opinion).

Is there any documentation relevant to this type of installation? I have
read the FAQ. I am especially curious about resource forks on OS X files
and if that requires me to use tar instead of rsync.

thanks for your time,

Matthew Metzger
