Hi list, Just getting to grips with backuppc and have got it running very well on Ubuntu 6.06 server, backing up a Windows server over smb. I'd like to take this a step further and create an offsite backup to another Linux server using rsync/ssh. Is this possible? My reading of the docs suggests that the "archive" option is intended for backups to separate physical media.
I can of course use rsync "as is" but it looks like all filenames have an f prepended to them, making a restore problematic if there is a disaster at the main site. Any advice would be very welcome!
