I have recently had to transfer the entire backuppc installation to a new server due to the demise of the old one. I am transferring the cpool/ and pc/ directories using tar, which seems to be preserving the hard links (in doing so it's chewing up VAST amounts of memory on the 'create' side, something like 2.5gb of ram for a 250GB pool!). Once I get it, I'd like to verify the MD5 sums of the cpool to make sure that the files got transferred ok. In fact, I expect there to be some problems because the disk began to get some I/O errors.
Is there a BackupPC_verify perl script anywhere? David ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
