We have our old backup system (set up by one of my colleagues), which used plain rsync to /data. After each backup, a simple 'cp -a' was done to USB disks. So I used the USB disks as source. Then I simply symlinked the directories (/mnt/samba/data -> /mnt/lacie/backup/client001/data) and ran the backup with BackupPC. If we have a new client, we always take a local snapshot of the data to one of our USB disks and transfer them by car. Never underestimate the bandwidth of a car loaded with disks ;-) Regards, -- Toni Van Remortel [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
