Hi Folks,

I just had a disaster. I had a complete hard drive failure on a K12LTSP
server. (Linux Fedora Core 6 based)

I've replaced the hard drive, now I'm going to reinstall K12LTSP from
CD's. After that, how do I restore all the home directories and conf
files to the "new" server. If I give it the same IP address/name and just
use the web interface restore function, will everything go in it's proper
place? Or is there something special I need to do.

Also, while I'm here. Is there any way to do a bare metal restore of the
entire server? I was backing up almost everything.

Pointers to the proper documentation would be much appreciated.

I'm using BackupPC 2.1.2, (I believe) I never upgraded to the latest
distro, because everything's always just worked fine.

Thanks so much for any advice.

ck
