I'm running BackupPC 3.0 on Debian Etch and on Debian Lenny. My machines have more RAM than you (1GB), but I haven't had any problems with them.
Have you confirmed that there is actually a transfer taking place? You can either use iftop to monitor network traffic, or use "du -csh /var/lib/backuppc" every few minutes to see if the pool is growing or not. When I configured my first machine I had some stuff set wrong that resulted in backups starting, but never transferring anything. It was a problem with a misconfigured sudoers file, and sudo was waiting for a password (but the backup status showed "in progress"). -Rob Nicholas Mistry wrote: > I am seeing a very strange problem after transitioning to backuppc > 3.0.
