Wiki might be nice, but forums? Your just forking a community and thats never a good idea, people wont be using both forums and mailing list. If you create an archive of the mailing list, where people is allowed to post, then it has a use, but don't use the horrible phpbb software. The best forum software on the market today is the little known http://fudforum.org/ it supports PDF, RSS, NNTP, Mailing lists. That way giving an alternative way to read the mailing list and adds some good improvements.
