look on the wiki http://backuppc.wiki.sourceforge.net and the look on the
Tips and Tricks page for a very nice script contributed by a mailing list
member.
alternatively, you could delete the hosts backup in the $Topdir/pc/hostname
and the delete its line out of $Topdire/pc/backups and that would work too.
