Hello, i am pretty new with backuppc, my config is now ok, smb backup is working. Is there a detailed paper how to install rsyncd on windows and use it with backuppc ? if not, can you people please put me on the right tracks to do it ? and, is it possible to backup from windows with rsyncd and also backup the windows ACL's with it ? thanks. I tried to use 3 XferMethods : Samba (SMB), Rsyncd (with cygwin) and Rsync via SSH. Samba and Rsyncd are working correctly to back up or restore my datas but I didn't succeed to backup up with Rsync via SSH. The relation via SSH between my server and my clients was ok but not the backups. As I hadn't the time to fixe the problems I kept Rsyncd. For your information, you can't use "BackupFilesOnly" and "BackupFilesExclude" (both in the same time) with Samba while you can with Rsyncd. If you have some questions, let me know.
