if you are using rsync on windows, you need to user rsyncd on backuppc.
how are you installing rsync on windows?? is it cwrsync or a full cygwin
install?
if you are having problems getting that working, uninstall the cygwin rsync
and make sure the service is off then reboot. now search the web for
'deltacopy' install it and follow the very very simple directions on the
site for setting up the rsync shared directories and then duplicate that
info in backuppc with Xfer settings as rsyncd.
i deploy this all the time and it is quite easy and i never have problems
with it. tips:, make sure windows firewall isnt blocking file sharing or
rsyncd
