I can successfully connect to my Windows 2003 R2 x64 server by interactively logging in with smbclient, typing the password at the prompt. It also works if I use the "-U user%password" syntax. But it fails if I pass the password in the PASSWD environment variable.
Using samba-3.0.23c-2.el5.2.0.2 on CentOS 5. Anyone seen this? Known bug in Samba? I figure my next step is to start looking at the smbclient sources. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
