Hello Backuppc community,

On one of our debian file servers, I extended the RAID5-Array (mountpoint /opt)
by another 500 GB disk.
When I tried to restart the backuppc service after succesful sync, it refused
to run.

The cause was quickly figured out - all relevant directories had wrong
ownership now:
138:136 instead of backuppc:backuppc - for reasons totally unknown.
Checking /etc/passwd, I found no reference to 130-something user ids or groups.
I invested a lot of time doing recursive "chown"... now it's working again.
But still, this change of owner and group boggles me - anyone of you guys have
an
explanation for that behaviour ?
Uncharted UN*X obscurities revisited, I guess...

Thanks and Best regards,
