Here is the log:

/usr/local/BackupPC/bin/BackupPC_dump line 193
2007-11-06 16:58:34 User admin (host=10.0.1.5) got CGI error: Backup number
for host 10.0.1.5 does not exist.
The permission in my /data/BackupPC is:
drwxr-x--- 2 apache backuppc 4096 Nov 6 14:28 cpool
drwxr-x--- 3 apache backuppc 4096 Nov 6 14:31 pc
drwxr-x--- 2 apache backuppc 4096 Nov 6 14:28 pool
drwxr-x--- 2 apache backuppc 4096 Nov 6 14:28 trash
apache is member of the group backuppc and vice versa. Also, I edit apache.conf
to
User backuppc
Group apache
When I do ps -ef | grep apache

You're making at least one typo: the file name isn't conf.pl. What does
the logfile say (cut and paste rather than copy by hand)?
